Baguio: LGUs back athletes

After the Philippine Sports Commission sweetened the pot by announcing that P5 million will be at stake, local government units have stepped up their support to for Baguio bets, with the selection process beginning in earnest, according to Sun.Star-Baguio.

Cabinet Secretary Leoncio Evasco yesterday assured national athletes and sports leaders that the government is committed to the mission of the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) to remedy the ills of Philippine sports with the formal launch of the Philippine Sports Institute (PSI).
