PBA: Blackwater outlasts Phoenix for 1st win

Returning import Henry Walker scored 32 points in his latest tour of duty as Blackwater finally ended a winless start by defeating Phoenix, 92-86, last night in the PBA Governors’ Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The PBA will continue to hold games in the Governors’ Cup for the duration of the FIBA Asia Cup despite the absence of some of the league’s best players who will represent Gilas Pilipinas for the continental tournament set Aug. 8 to 20 in Lebanon.
