Senate PDAF report ends up in archives

HARDLY noticed in the welter of stories on more current events was the report last Friday that the Senate Blue Ribbon report on the misuse of the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF), the congressional pork barrel fund, had ended up in the Senate archives.

Since the courts rejected his plea to attend the last session days at the Senate, detained Sen. Jose “Jinggoy” E. Estrada took to Facebook to “deliver” his final privilege speech.

A day after the Senate adjourned and concluded its sessions for the 16th Congress, outgoing senators have started moving out of their offices to pave way for the incoming neophyte and returning senators who will take over in the 17th Congress.
