Police all set for Labor Day protests

The Philippine National Police (PNP) yesterday announced that security preparations are “ready” for the expected mass protests in commemoration of the Labor Day today, May 1, but believes fewer people will be joining this year’s gatherings which will be organized by various labor groups.

Chief Supt. Ronald dela Rosa, incoming chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), is now forming his own team of “Police Avengers” that would focus on running after big-time drug lords in the National Bilibid and even in the government and the small-time drug peddlers on the streets.
