NBI exec testifies in hearing

As it seeks to conclude its probe on the alleged proliferation of illegal drugs at the New Bilibid Prisons in Muntinlupa City, the House Committee on Justice is anticipating the “more dreadful” supplemental affidavit of National Bureau of Investigation Deputy Director Rafael Ragos disclosing his supposed January to March “deliveries” to Sen. Leila M. de Lima, ranging from P800,000 to P1.7 million.

Justice Secretary Vitaliano N. Aguirre II said yesterday that at least three witnesses are set to testify during the resumption of the inquiry of the House of Representatives on the alleged proliferation of illegal drugs at the New Bilibid Prisons in Muntinlupa City during the time of then Justice Secretary now Sen. Leila M. de Lima today.

Dayan gets subpoena

The House Committee on Justice has decided to subpoena Ronnie Dayan, the former driver-bodyguard of Senator Leila de Lima, to compel his attendance in the panel’s resumption of its hearing on the alleged involvement of the Liberal Party senator in the illegal drugs trade in the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) on Oct. 5.
