Korean’s death may spur death penalty – Recto

The kidnapping, murder, and cremation of Korean businessman Jee Ick-Joo might just be the trigger needed by lawmakers to reimpose the death penalty on “super heinous crimes,” Senate Minority Leader Ralph G. Recto said yesterday.

“Rebellion has been tamed. No foreign army is steaming towards our shores to invade us. And as the President himself likes to brag. Crime is down and the people are safe in their homes and communities,’’ Recto said.
