Kidnapped businesswoman rescued in Sulu

A 60-year-old businesswoman abducted in Sirawai, Zamboanga del Norte Monday afternoon, was rescued yesterday morning by the military from the hands of the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) in Sulu.

AFP: No officers in cahoots with ASG

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) strongly denied reports that some military officers in Sulu are in cahoots with the Abu Sayyaf and warned to hold a local official who made the accusation accountable if he can not prove his claims.
