Nothing wrong in burial – Alvarez

House Speaker Pantaleon D. Alvarez sees nothing illegal in last Friday’s internment of President Ferdinand E. Marcos at the Libi-ngan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City but backed protesters in expressing their sentiments over the secrecy shrouded burial.

Marine Col. Ferdinand Marcelino has decided to provide Congress and the Department of Justice the information that would provide the “missing dots in the puzzle” of the reported New Bilibid Prison drug trade that has linked Sen. Leila M. de Lima.

THE Supreme Court struck down as unconstitutional the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) in 2013, followed by the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) of Malacañang and the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) in 2015. The administration had used the first to influence legislators and the second to fund programs even without congressional approval.
