President has spoken; rogue cops are duly warned

“The proceedings are running on parallel tracks,” presidential spokesman Ernesto Abella said the other day, in response to reports of alleged abuses committed in some police operations against the drug menace in the country.

The Senate Committee on Justice and Human Rights will again hold a three-day marathon hearing on extrajudicial killings this week, vice chairperson Sen. Panfilo “Ping” M. Lacson said yesterday.
