Senators see approval of tax reform measures

Senators are upbeat that tax reform measures would finally be approved this year after President Duterte gave his marching orders to Congress to prioritize the bill lowering income and corporate taxes in his State-of-the-Nation Address last Monday.

A day after the Senate adjourned and concluded its sessions for the 16th Congress, outgoing senators have started moving out of their offices to pave way for the incoming neophyte and returning senators who will take over in the 17th Congress.
