Bello hits CPP order for more NPA attacks

Government of the Republic of the Philippines peace panel chairman Silvestre Bello III denounced the order of the Communist Party of the Philippines to the New People’s Army Wednesday to intensify its “revolutionary armed struggle” after President Duterte declared Martial Law in Mindanao due to the threat of the Maute Group.

Today, May 1, Labor Day. President Duterte will meet in Davao City with labor delegations which will present petitions and proposals for the nation’s working class. Expectations are high as this is the first Labor Day in the administration of President Duterte, who understands, more than most officials, the situation faced by the nation’s workers today.
