Storm out of PH

Severe tropical storm “Carina” (international name “Nida”) has already moved outside the country’s area of responsibility on Monday morning but continues to enhance the southwest monsoon or hanging habagat that may bring moderate to heavy monsoon rains over western Luzon.

A new low pressure area is seen to form east of the country within 48 hours, which may bring light to moderate rains over the eastern section of Visayas and Mindanao by mid-week, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration said yesterday.
