Calida asks SC to affirm Sereno ouster

Solicitor General Jose C. Calida, in behalf of the government, has asked the Supreme Court to affirm its May 11 decision that ousted Maria Lourdes P. A. Sereno as Chief Justice and head of the Judiciary.

ONE reminder taught us in Ateneo Law School was, “The Supreme Court (SC) is the final arbiter of all legal cases and constitutional issues. Even if it commits a mistake, it remains supreme”.
