The threats of a brewing cyclone over Visayas and Mindanao remains due to higher possibility of intensifying into a tropical depression before its landfall over Caraga Region between Monday evening and Tuesday morning.

Tropical storm “Vinta” (international name “Tembin”) has further weakened as it moved towards Misamis Oriental and Zamboanga del Norte yesterday.

A new low-pressure area east of Mindanao has a high probability of intensifying into a tropical cyclone within 24 hours, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration.
PAGASA estimated the location of the LPA at 150 kilometers east-northeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur before noon yesterday.
