Mancao seeks release from PNP custody

The camp of Police Senior Superintednent Cesar Mancao II said yesterday that he should be immediately released even though he just surrendered last Monday over his alleged involvement in the 2000 abduction and murder of publicist Salvador “Bubby” Dacer and his driver Emmanuel Corbito.

The 30-million alleged bribe money turned over to the Department of Justice (DoJ) by Bureau of Immigration (BI) Deputy Commissioners Al Argosino and Michael Robles was P1,000 short.

It has been 21 months since the Mamasapano disaster of January, 2015. There have been countless hearings in Congress, charges have been filed against the alleged killers of the 44 Special Action Force (SAF) commandos of the Philippine National Police, some of whom have been honored with medals and other decorations.
