2 Maute bandits dead in encounter

Two members of the Local Terror Group Maute were killed while another one was captured during a joint operation by the police and military yesterday in Iligan City.

Seven members of the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) were reportedly killed, five wounded and two were arrested by the military in Luuk, Sulu, Thursday, the Armed Forces of the Philippines – Western Mindanao Command (AFP-WestMinCom) reported yesterday.

A NEW name has appeared in military reports of fighting in Mindanao – Maute Group. The Western Mindanao Command of the Armed Forces of the Philippines reported the other day that 54 militants identified as members of the Maute Group had been killed in a joint military-police offensive in Lanao del Sur.
