Manila, Philippines – The September 28 Grand Lotto 6/55 jackpot winner has yet to claim his P72,537,879.60 prize as of yesterday. Officials of the Philippines Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) reminded the winner from Novaliches, Quezon City to claim the prize as soon as possible, as winners of the PCSO’s various lotteries and other gaming products have only a year to claim their winnings.
PCSO General Manager Jose Ferdinand M. Rojas II said the PCSO Internal Audit Department (IAD), where winning tickets are validated for authenticity, is waiting for the September 28 Grand Lotto 6/55 winner to come forward and claim the prize.
Rojas said the winner defied the one in 28.99 million odds in Grand Lotto 6/55 by correctly guessing the winning combination 27-12-07-28-08-21.
The winner, he said, is only the seventh this year to win the Grand Lotto 6/55 jackpot that had P629,244,604.80 from January 5 to September 28. “I hope the winner from Novaliches will come forward and claim the P72.5-million jackpot. Maybe he is just waiting for the right time to collect the money,” said Rojas. (Edd K. Usman)
