Manila, Philippines – Immigration authorities prevented a Filipino contract worker from leaving the country yesterday morning after his name showed up in the Hold Departure Order (HDO) list for having a case of marital infidelity.
Francisco Crisostomo Lua Jr., was barred from boarding the Taiwan-bound China Airlines flight after his name showed up in the said immigration list.
The order stemmed from a Warrant of Arrest issued by Judge Clifton Ganay of Branch 31 of the Aringay RTCourt in La Union for the violation of RA 9262 which is commonly known as the “Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004.” The complaint was reportedly filed by his spouse Lulu Cera Lua.
