Manila, Philippines – The Pasay City Regional Trial Court issued subpoena to the three doctors of former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo at St. Lukes Medical Hospital in Taguig City to appear in court today.
According to Atty. Joel Pelicano, clerk of court of RTC Branch 112, said that court sheriff Rodelio Buenviejo and court process server Ismael Cuerdo armed with subpoena left before noon to serve it to the three doctors of Mrs. Arroyo, Drs. Juliet Gopez-Cervantes, Mario Ver and Roberto Mirasol.
Pelicano said that the issuance of subpoena and asking the three doctors to appear in court today was made after the Commission on Election (Comelec) filed a motion for the issuance of subpoena duces tecum /ad testificandum to determine the real health condition of Mrs. Arroyo.
He said that the three doctors will be told to submit in court the medical abstract of Mrs. Arroyo’s attending physician, endocrinologist and orthopedic-surgeon. (Jean Fernando)
