Four provincial champions have joined National Capital Region qualifiers Valenzuela and KABAKAManila to complete the cast in the 2014 Coca-Cola PBA Youngstars National Finals starting Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Pampanga (Northern Luzon), Batangas (Southern Luzon), Cebu (Visayas) and Cagayan (Mindanao) advanced, along with the two NCR bets, and will play a single round robin with the top two teams meeting for the championship, according to tournament director Ramil Cruz.
Ties will be resolved via the PBA quotient system.
Pampanga dumped Dagupan, 124-48, in the regional finals; Batangas edged Laguna, 68-63; the Cebu Lancers ousted Bacolod and host Iloilo; and Cagayan toppled Davao and Zamboanga.
Valenzuela swept the NCR tournament, beating Manila, 64-52, in the final game.
PBA commissioner Chito Salud and officials of Coca-Cola Bottlers Phils. will welcome the delegates tomorrow during a dinner at the Gateway Suites in Cubao.
Opening game will be at 8 a.m. Sunday with the inaugural rites following at 9:30 a.m. Two more games are scheduled right after.
The rest of the national finals will be played at the JCSGO gym in Cubao.
