The Globalport management yesterday expressed its satisfaction and happiness that the issue regarding the lottery for the No. 1 pick of the coming Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Rookie Draft pick has been resolved.
In a statement, the Globalport management, led by its owner Mikee Romero, said they are thankful that the issue has been put to rest together with a promise for improvements and changes in its process in the future.
“We would like to thank the PBA Board of Governors for the early resolution of this incident, and acknowledge the efforts of the Rain or Shine franchise to be one with the Board in solidifying the integrity of the league,” the Globalport owner added.
During the lottery, Globalport emerged as the big winner having to pick first in the Rookie Draft set next month.
This early, Globalport is already excited about the coming Rookie Draft, knowing this year’s batch is very deep and talented.
Globalport also vowed to choose wisely, not only to make its team better and formidable but also to provide its supporters and the PBA fans in general the best that professional basketball has to offer.
