The PBA Commissioner’s Office yesterday announced that the deadline for teams interested to join the 2015 PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup is tomorrow.
So far, Café France, Racal Motorsales Corp., Wangs Basketball and Jumbo Plastic Linoleum have already confirmed their participation for the league’s first conference which starts on October 27.
Cebuana Lhuilier, Kia Motors/M.Pacquiao, Boracay Rum have also sent word that they are joining the tournament that promises to be interesting with perennial champion NLEX and Blackwater Sports moving up to the pro ranks.
“A lot of companies have called us up and expressed their intention to join. We would like to remind them that the deadline for submission of their letter of intent is July 30. There will be no grace period. Teams that are able to meet the deadline and pay the tournament fee on Sept. 1 will make it to the list of participants for the Aspirants’ Cup,” PBA Commissioner Chito Salud declared.
PBA D-League games will be televised on IBC13.
Fil-foreign players wishing to join the PBA D-League Rookie Draft have until August 22 to submit their applications while local born hopefuls have an August 28 deadline.
The 2014 PBA D-League Rookie Draft is set on September 16.
School-based teams, according to the league chieftain, must submit the list of their rookie players on or before September 4 to determine their drafting order.
