Freddie Roach took another dig at Floyd Mayweather’s camp as the Hall of Fame trainer assailed the fighter’s father-trainer and the chef that handles the unbeaten’s fighter’s nutritional requirements.
While the main event fighters continue to practice restraint, opting to be cordial towards each other, the trainers involved just couldn’t get enough of verbal jabs.
“I hope she knows how to make crow soft foods palatable because after he faces Manny that is all Mayweather will be eating,” said Roach.
Pacquiao and Mayweather are slugging it out on May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and Roach is looking forward to serve Mayweather leather courtesy of Pacquiao’s big blows.
Mayweather said Chef Q has been contracted to prepare his meals until the Pacquiao fight and each meal is worth $1,000.
“Whatever it is, it sure sounds expensive,” said Roach, who isconfident that Mayweather’s undefeated run is about to come to an end.
Floyd Sr. likewise didn’t escape being trash-talked by the 55-year-old Roach, who belittled the cornerman’s coaching skills, adding that his brother Roger, is a better trainer.
Mayweather boasts of a 47-0 slate with 26 KOs, while Pacquiao, coming off three straight impressive wins, has a 57-5-2 card with 38 KOs.
