TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite – Dengue remained unstoppable in this populous province with the additional death and 867 cases recorded in two weeks in the area.
Based on the latest update report released Wednesday by the Provincial Epidemiology Surveillance Unit (PESU), the dengue cases in the province’s seven districts in the last 42 weeks were 8,241 with 35 deaths.
The number of dengue cases was higher by 416% as compared to the figure that was recorded during the same period in 2014, the PESU said. The additional one death and 867 cases were recorded during the Oct. 11-24 period alone.
In its Oct. 3-10 period, the PESU reported 34 deaths and 7,374 cases.
