A 44-year-old former employee of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources was found dead in Quezon City yesterday.
Reports reaching the Quezon City Police District-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit identified the victim as Raymond Jose of Cavite City and Daisy St., Area 8, Veterans Village, Barangay Pasong Tamo.
Senior Insp. Elmer Monsalve, chief of the Homicide Section of the QCPD-CIDU, said that the body of the victim was discovered at about 1 a.m. on Timbang Compound, Rose St., Veterans Village, Barangay Pasong Tamo by a concerned citizen.
Responding barangay watchmen took the victim to the East Avenue Medical Center in Quezon City where he was pronounced dead. Monsalve said the victim sustained multiple stab wounds in the chest.
Police will interview the family of the victim and have urged residents or witnesses to contact them if they have information on the killing.
