A female official of the National Police Commission (Napolcom) has just been relieved after she was caught engaging in an altercation with a barangay official and two police officers recently.
The altercation was even caught on camera then posted on Facebook on October 27, 2015 by a user named Mike Almanza. The heated argument took place in Justinville Panapaan VII, Bacoor, Cavite.
In light of the incident, Napolcom Vice-Chairman and Executive Officer Eduardo U. Escueta directed Napolcom-NCR Acting Regional Director Atty. Ferdaussi B. Masnar to relieve Ana Maria L. Paglinawan of her position as Acting Chief, Administrative Division, Napolcom-NCR pending investigation on the alleged incident.
At the same time, Escueta ordered the creation of a team composed of senior officials from the Napolcom Inspection, Monitoring and Investigation Service (IMIS) to conduct motu proprio investigation on the said incident.
The commission shall validate the initial investigation report within three days after its submission to the Napolcom.
“We want to assure the public that the commission shall not tolerate any wrongdoing committed by its officials and employees that may taint the good image of the Napolcom,” assured Escueta.
Escueta stressed that the commission remains steadfast in preserving the integrity of its organization and will always take appropriate action against anyone who tries to tarnish the image of the Napolcom.
