Bobby Ray-Ray Parks Jr., son of the late seven-time PBA Best Import Bobby Parks, has been selected by the Texas Legends in the NBA Development League (D-League) Rookie Draft on Saturday.
The 6-foot-4 Parks was picked 25th overall (sixth in the second round) by the Legends, an affiliate of the NBA’s Mavericks.
Parks, a former two-time UAAP MVP with National University, played for the Mavericks during the Summer League as Dallas invited him despite going undrafted during the 2015 NBA Rookie Draft.
In the six games he played as the first Filipino to suit up for any team during the Summer League, the 22-year-old Parks averaged three points and 1.7 rebounds with the Mavericks.
