The investigation being conducted by the Department of Transportation and Communications (DoTC) into the alleged bullet scam at the airport will be fair and thorough as well as devoid of any political color, Malacañang assured on Tuesday.
Presidential Spokesman Edwin Lacierda said they expect the DoTC to release the probe results and make the recommendations to resolve the bullet-related incidents this week.
“You know let’s set aside any political color and we will look into the data as objectively as we can,” Lacierda said in a Palace press briefing. “We just want to make sure that we presented the entire picture properly,” he added.
Some groups of overseas Filipino workers have reportedly threatened to hold “no-remittance day” and “bawas padala,” in protest of the government’s failure to put a stop to the alleged scam preying on passengers at the airport.
Others groups plan to boycott the administration’s candidates in the 2016 polls over the unresolved “tanim-bala” scam. (Genalyn Kabiling)
