Jeron Teng and Maine Mendoza’s fans proved how supportive they are once again as their idols bested other nominees in their respective categories through online votes at the recent 2016 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards in Los Angeles, California.
The two thanked their fans for the undying support through a short video shared by Nickelodeon in their Facebook page yesterday. The De La Salle University basketball star won the Favorite Asian Sports Star award while the Kalyeserye queen dominated in the Favorite Pinoy Personality category.
“Wow! Thank you very much guys. I wanna thank everyone who supported and voted for me. And I just feel really blessed right now, and I just hope for the kids to… I hope I can inspire them to be a student-athlete like me. And God bless everyone. Thank you again,” said Jeron while baring the blimp awarded to him.
He surpassed the votes for Kim Kurniawan of Indonesia, Pandelela of Malaysia, and Irfan Fandi of Singapore.
Maine sent a shout-out to her fans while showing an animated blimp after not being able to physically accept the award yesterday.
“Thank you everyone for voting for me. This is such an honor. I would really love to hold this orange Blimp right now but since I’m away for vacation, maybe this will do… for now. Cool, noh? I love you all!” said the 21-year-old actress as she blew a kiss to the viewers. (Ces Dimalanta)
