Freddie Roach continues to be amazed and awed by the confidence being shown by Manny Pacquiao behind his right hand as the Filipino southpaw threw lots of it during another intense sparring session Thursday afternoon (Friday in Manila) in Los Angeles.
“I don’t know what his surgeon did with Manny’s right shoulder but he is firing his right with authority and strength. I never thought I would say this but I think it’s stronger than his left!” said Roach exactly 22 days before Pacquiao faces Tim Bradley on April 9 in Las Vegas.
The plan to field a new sparmate – Frankie Gomez – did not materialize and Pacquiao wound up racking up four rounds each with Ghislan Maduma and Lydell Rhodes.
Roach was again pleased with the outcome and looked forward to another satisfying day at the Wild Card when sparring resumes Saturday.
Pacquiao was also in high spirits and teased fans about his burning desire to bring back the fighter they had learned to love the last 15 years.
