KAPAMILYA actress Julia Barretto took to social media to fight back netizens who bashed her for unknown reasons recently.
“Kung sino pa ang nananahimik, s’ya pa ‘yung ginugulo,” said Barretto, in a tweet, as reported in “Tonight with Boy Abunda” aired over ABS-CBN.
Abunda, reacting to the post, said that he wanted to put context into the tweet.
“Kung maalala n’yo po, Julia was linked to James Reid. And then ‘yung ginugulo… this is a speculation na may mga nagsasabing netizens na diumano’y ang mga nanggugulo ay mga fans ng JaDine (James Reid and Nadine Lustre), which to me is not sure,” Abunda said.
“Ang akin lamang po ay ito. I am a fan at isa akong Noranian (Nora Aunor fan). Kahit anong bagay na hindi magandang pakinggan tungkol kay Nora Aunor para sa akin ay masama. So I really understand how it is to be a fan. But it is not for me to accuse the fans of JaDine na sila ‘yung nangha-harass diumano,” he said.
Baretto just finished her afternoon teleserye “And I Love You So.”
In November 2015, it was alleged that Reid and Barretto were seen kissing and flirting with each other in a restaurant at the Fort in Taguig City.
This was revealed by ABS-CBN talent Patrick Sugui, of “Pinoy Big Brother Teen Clash” of 2010. Pictures of the two Kapamilya stars dating even surfaced. JaDine fans bashed Sugui for his revelations.
Barretto, 19, chose to keep silent about the issue.
But Reid reacted on Instagram and said: “‘Give me a break. Does anyone really think I would have sex in a bar/public place… Stupid. If everyone wasn’t so gullible I wouldn’t even have to be explaining my private life right now Ÿ˜ Cut the bullshit. Stop the hate.”
Reid, 22, is in a relationship with Lustre. They are now abroad for the “JaDine Love” shows in Europe and the Middle East.
