ACTRESS Cristine Reyes has denied that she is pregnant.
“I’m not pregnant. Siguro mga after 5 years pwede na. Hindi ko talaga alam saan nanggaling yun,” said Reyes, during an interview in “Tonight with Boy Abunda” over ABS-CBN.
Reyes, star of the popular Kapamilya afternoon teleserye “Tubig at Langis,” said that she is also busy attending to the needs of her husband, mixed martial artist Ali Khatibi, who will compete in a body contest.
“I support him in this contest. Like last Sunday, after ‘ASAP,’ pumunta naman ako sa challenge n’ya sa The Fort,” she said.
Reyes and Khatibi got married in Balesin Island in Quezon on Jan. 27, 2016. They have a daughter named Amarah.
The actress said that she is not jealous of the girls who will compete in the same contest.
“I’m with Amarah. Ang dami talagang sexy girls duon at ang tatangkad nila. Hindi naman ako nagseselos. Very friendly naman ’yung mga girls. Pag nakikita nila ako, lumalapit naman sila sa akin at binabati nila ako at si Amarah,” she said.
Reyes, 27, said that her husband sought her permission to join the body competition.
“Tinanong n’ya ako kung OK lang na sumali ako sa supebod contest. Sabi ko OK lang naman. I guess kasi wala akong idea about the whole thing. Na surprise na lamang kami na para pala s’yang pageant. We thought parang challenge lang s’ya na parang skills. ’Yun pala body competition s’ya. Wala na kaming magawa. I’ll just support him,” she said.
“Noon parang gusto n’yang mag-quit kasi parang hindi n’ya kayang mag-project and all, kasi shy-type talaga sya. Pero nakakapag-adjust na rin s’ya unti-unti,” Reyes added.
Reyes, who stars in the new horror-flick “Elemento” under Viva Films, said that she and her husband have started to discover several things about each other.
“Marami ka talagang madi-discover sa partner mo kapag magkasama na kayo. May mga times talaga na he needs me at ako rin naman I need Ali. Ako, kaya kong mag-organize ng isang buong week ng schedule n’ya tulad ng flights and bookings, pati sa bahay kung ano ang kakainin kaya ko ’yun. Pero sabi ni Ali hindi n’ya raw kayang gawin ’yun sa akin.”
“Si Ali naman, magaling s’yang makipag-communicate with people. Doon ako medyo hindi OK. Palagay ko marami pa kaming madi-discover sa isa’t-isa,” said Reyes, younger sister of actress Ara Mina.
Asked to comment on the issue involving veteran actress Vivian Velez, Reyes said: “I guess I’d rather be quiet about it.”
