Mighty Sports continued its surge at the start of the second round of the PCBL Chairman’s Cup, but not after holding off a gutsy Supremo Lex squad, 75-62, Sunday at the Malolos Sports and Convention Center.
Pushed to the limit by the Builders most of the way, Mighty Sports used a telling 11-0 run in the early part of the fourth period to turn a close game into a rout. With the win, Mighty Sports extended its winning streak to seven and remained unscathed in this tournament supported by Ambucore, LGR, Hahn Manila, During’s Barbeque and Restaurant, Gerry’s Grill and Spalding.
Also sustaining its winning streak was Euro-Med, which repulsed a late charge by Sta. Lucia Realty, 83-75.
