ACTRESS Bela Padilla has opened up about an eye condition brought about by lack of sleep and stress on the set of her TV show.
“I have acute interior uveitis. My left iris is kinda busted right now. My trigger was lack of sleep and the stress on my eye kasi I kept crying. I have medicine na for it. Hopefully in two weeks I am fully recovered. It’s not painful kasi I already have anesthetic drops. Pero nung umpisa sobrang sakit parang sinuntok,” said Padilla in an interview in “Tonight with Boy Abunda” on ABS-CBN.
After her stint in the hit prime time series “Ang Probinsyano,” Padilla said that she is ready to shoot a film for Viva Films.
“May story conference na kami next week. It’s different kasi hindi s’ya bidang lalaki at hindi bidang babae. It’s a story of five girls who will help one another move on with their lives. It’s exciting kasi first time I’ll be doing a movie like this. I’m a fan of chick flicks,” said Padilla.
The 24-year-old actress said that she is also not ready to tie the knot with boyfriend Neil Arce.
“Not anytime soon. Actually he is going to be in this movie and he is our executive producer. He does projects kasi with Viva. Actually the story is his concept. We work on concepts together, we write stories together. Actually marami kaming pini-pitch na content together. Minsan ‘yung kulang sa ideas ko s’ya nagpupuno,” Padilla said.
“Neil is not in hurry to get married. He’s very happy for me kung saan ako ngayon,” she added.
Padilla also thanked the supporters of “Ang Probinsyano” for the positive feedback.
“When you get to work for the series for 10 months, and when you get positive feedback, lahat ng iniyak ko sa show, pagod at iba’t-ibang atake na sinubukan kong gawin, at least worth it kasi positive ang feedback,” she said.
Padilla played Carmen in the popular Kapamilya TV series which stars Coco Martin.
“I study my role. Dito sa ‘Probinsyano,’ I give 100 percent. Hindi na ako nag-iwan sa sarili ko dahil 10 months ako sa work. Pumasok na yung chracter sa akin. May mga days po ako na umiiyak kasi ang bigat ng nga kinunan ko that day.
So ganun ako nag immerse sa character,” she said.
Padilla, also a commercial and fashion model, said that she wanted to try off beat roles in the future.
“SInabi ko naman po sa ABS-CBN nung pumasok ako dito, I’m willing to tackle different roles, characters because I want to show my range so gusto ko ma explore yung side na yun,” she added.
Padilla started out as a member of the Star Magic Batch 15 on ABS-CBN under the screen name Krista Valle in 2006.
Later she changed her name to Krista Sullivan.
In 2010, she transferred to GMA-7 and finally changed her name to Bela Padilla. She returned to ABS-CBN in 2015.
