ANNE Curtis-Smith beat the traffic again when she took the MRT on her way home to Makati City recently.
“Beating the traffic. Sabi nila swerte daw ako kasi hindi pa daw masyado siksikan. Ang bilis! Lapit na ako sa bahay!” said Curtis on Instagram, as she appeared to have enjoyed the ride home.
“Mga magagandang binibini na kasama ko kanina sa MRT ride ko. I saved 40 minutes of travel time instead of sitting in traffic from QC-MAKATI. Wouldn’t it be cool if the MRT reached the airport? Or even places outside of Metro Manila?” she said in another photo posted on IG.
This was not the first time the “It’s Showtime” co-host took the MRT.
In December 2014, Curtis rode the train to watch the Kylie Minogue concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.
“Anne is simply so cool,” said Boy Abunda in his late-night talk show “Tonight with Boy Abunda” over ABS-CBN.
Aside from Curtis, other celebrities who took the MRT include James Reid, Vice Ganda, Venus Raj, Kris Aquino, Angel Locsin, Jericho Rosales, Enchong Dee, Rep. Manny Pacquiao of Sarangani, Gerald Anderson, Julia Montes, Sitti, John Lapus, former Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, Piolo Pascual, Angelica Panganiban, among others.
Curtis, 31, is also busy training these days for the New York City marathon which will be held on Nov. 6.
“Half marathon done! First time to run at a steady pace the whooooooole way. I love sprinting specially at the beginning of the race (my biggest downfall for Long Distance Running) but this time I controlled myself and consciously kept the form of arms and core intact the whole 21-km. I guess it kinda helped that Coach @igelopezvoice was constantly in my head ‘o form mo’ haha.? No hingal factor at all except pag may hills. Anggaling! Nakakaaliw!
Thanks Coach. Got me excited to keep training for my very first Marathon in NYC!” she said in another IG post.
Curtis also said that this will be the first time she will join a marathon.
