IT’S James Reid’s turn to defend the authenticity of his relationship with his girlfriend Nadine Lustre.
“I don’t know what to say to make them believe it. I heard what she said. It does not matter to me if they believe me or not as long as we’re happy,” said Reid, in an interview over “Tonight with Boy Abunda” over ABS-CBN.
Lustre, 22, has earlier defended her relationship with Reid, saying it is for real, during an appearance in the same show recently.
“You guys think too much. Relax,” said Reid, when asked why he did not join her girlfriend at the Box-Office Awards program recently.
“As you can see we are so busy right now,” Reid said.
Asked about trust in her boyfriend, Lustre said: “It’s 110 percent.”
Reid and Lustre, also known as JaDine, will be seen in the upcoming movie “This Time” under Viva Films.
The Filipino-Australian actor also said that he was happy to see his mother who went to his show in London recently.
“I was really happy to see her. She went to my show. I haven’t seen her for a long time,” said Reid, 22, whose mother is now based in Scotland.
Abunda said that he finds Lustre very beautiful. “Gandang-ganda ako sa kanya. There’s something about her eyes.”
Commenting on the authenticity of JaDine’s relationship, Abunda said: “Everybody has an opinion about everybody but I want to say my piece. Hindi ko po maintindihan why some people are questioning the authenticity of the relationship of James and Nadine. Hindi ko alam kung saan ang pinanggagalingan nito. Parang some people are saying they are doing it for their careers or just for show. Kami’y matagal na sa industriyang ito and I think we have already that sense of knowing if something is not sure or fake. It’s for real. I don’t think anyone would fake love for someone lalo na si Nadine at James.
“Can’t we just be happy for James and Nadine? Para sa akin po I have done interviews with them and whatever it is between James and Nadine, it’s for real,” Abunda said.
Lustre and Reid admitted their relationship at their sold-out concert called “JaDine in Love” at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City last Feb. 20. They later brought their successful concert to other parts of the world. (Robert R. Requintina)
