BOOKS, BOOKS – It’s good to hear that showbiz and media personalities continue to write books, dwelling on serious and light topics. Old and young alike are the authors.
Consider Alex Gonzaga, Kathryn Bernardo, Bianca Gonzalez, Solenn Heusaff, Georgina Wilson writing on dating, courting, hurting, coping, and other subjects close to young people’s heart.
From faraway California, Jessica Rodriguez-Bunevacz (remember her?) authored a book with a kilometric title: “Date like a Girl, Marry Like a Woman: The Polished Woman’s Guide to Love, Romance and Sex.” The title says it all.
Rita Avila penned books on losing a child, angels in our lives, and ways of consoling and condoling with grieving loved ones. Even Pope Francis acknowledged receiving Rita’s books and wished her well.
Maricel Laxa and Tintin Bersola wrote books on superkids.
Chinkee Tan dishes out practical pieces of advice on money matters.

MORE TITLES – Let’s start with Boy Abunda’s “Make Your Nanay Proud.” Boy will soon be called Doctor as he’s finishing his Ph.D in communication at Philippine Women’s University.
Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago’s “Stupid is Forever.”
Judy Ann Santos’ “Kitchen.” The Lady’s a certified chef.
Ramon Bautista’s “Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo.”
Miriam Quiambao’s autobiographical “He Can Catch You When You Fall.”
Annabelle Rama’s hilarious “’Day, hard! Lakas ng Loob, Kapal ng Mukha.”
Of course, Ricky Lo’s bestseller “Conversations Pa More,” available nationwide in National Book Store and Powerbooks.
Not to forget Norma Japitana’s nostalgic “Then and Now,” looking back at happy and sad moments with friends, both the mighty ones (FPJ, Erap, Robin, Nora, Vilma, Sharon, among many others) and ordinary ones (like media colleagues).
