Following the successful run of “Les Miserables” in Manila, singer Rachelle Ann Go is set to return to London to continue her stint as Fantine in the West End staging of the popular musical.
“Maraming salamat Manila! It has been a pleasure performing in my hometown! I hope you all enjoyed Les Miserables.️
Thank you to the whole team of Les Mis Manila also, you all have a special place in my heart… I will miss you all whew! Till we meet again.️ To God be the glory!” said Go on Instagram.
The Filipino-Chinese star said that she is both happy and sad that the musical has ended in Manila.
Tapos na share ko po sa Pinoy ’yung ginagawa ko sa London,” said Go, during an interview for “Chika Minute” portion of “24 Oras” news program on GMA 7.
Go said that she has finally bought a house which she had been dreaming of for years.
Before she left, Go said that she was thrilled that her close friends in the industry Regine Velasquez-Alcasid and Sarah Geronimo came to watch the musical.
The Asian singer-actress hit the international stage after she won the role of the disillusioned Gigi Van Thran in the revival of the musical Miss Saigon in West End in 2014.
Go is set to return to Manila for the “Divas Live in Manila” concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City on Nov. 11, 2016. Joining her are Yeng Constantino, Kyla, Angeline Quinto, and KZ.
