Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza (Yaya Dub), popularly known as AlDub in the popular kal-ye-serye of the noontime show “Eat Bulaga” on GMA 7, are ready to shoot their new movie after they received the film’s final script last Monday.
Lola Nidora, played by Wally Ba-yola, handed the movie script to Mendoza during the kalye-serye segment of “EB.”
Mendoza, 21, initially asked Lola Nidora what was inside the brown envelope. Lola Nidora joked that it contained a marriage contract.
“Lola hindi po magandang biro ‘yun,” said Mendoza. She opened the brown envelope and saw the script.
Richards, 24, simultaneously received a copy of the script in Broadway studio.
“Alam kong excited kayo sa darating n’yong pelikula. Matagal n’yo itong pinangarap at pinagdasal. Ang hawak n’yo ay ang final script ng inyong pelikula. ’Yung dating script ay ni-revise,” Lola Nidora said.
In December 2015, Richards and Mendoza appeared together for the first time in the blockbuster Metro Manila Film Festival entry “My Bebeh Love” in which they played supporting roles to Vic Sotto and Ai-Ai delas Alas.
This time, the phenomenal love team will play lead roles in their next film. Richards and Mendoza said that they are excited to shoot for the still untitled movie.
“This will explore the actor in me and the actress in Maine. We are very excited for this project kasi we’ve been longing to do a movie for both of us,” Richards said, during a jampacked mall show in Makati City.
“Sana suportahan talaga ng mga tao pag-lumabas na,” Mendoza said, during an interview in “Chika Minute” portion of “24 Oras” news program.
“Abangan n’yo po ‘yan at malapit na,” added Richards.
During the mall show, Richards and Mendoza held hands together on several occasions. “Mahirap na baka ma-holding hands pa ng iba,” said the “Wish I May” hit maker.
