Don’t neglect your right to vote.
Malacañang yesterday urged registered Filipino voters to take the time to go out and exercise their right to vote on Monday.
Presidential Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. said the participation of everyone is important, as he noted that polling precincts are already open as early as 6 a.m.
“Importante na gamitin natin iyong ating kapangyarihang magpasya. Lahat po sa atin na registered voter magtungo po tayo sa ating mga Voting Precincts, dahil mahalaga po iyong partisipasyon natin. Hindi dapat na mag-absent o i-balewala iyong ating karapatang bumoto,” Coloma said.
The Palace official also underscored the need to use the right to suffrage in the right way. “Dapat siguro ay maging mapanuri tayo at magnilay dahil importante iyong ating pagpapasya,” he said.
Coloma said that by the right to vote, the Filipinos are putting their trust for a better future on their candidates.
He said that on the part of the outgoing Aquino administration, President Aquino has set the foundation towards reforms. “Bagama’t meron pang mga kulang naitatag natin iyong isang matibay na pundasyon,” Coloma said, noting the 1.4 million Filipino households that benefited from the Conditional Cash Transfer program, and increased job opportunities.
