JOHN Lloyd Cruz has said that he is ready to become a father but he wants to get married first.
Appearing in “Tonight with Boy Abunda” over ABS-CBN recently, Cruz said that kids would come later because he wants to enjoy first married life with his wife.
“Ideally, I want to get married first then maybe enjoy a couple of years with my wife. Kami lang muna. You’re embarking on a new journey. And there’s so much to be discovered habang wala pang bata,” said Cruz, 32, lead star of the hit movie “Just the Two of Us” opposite Jennylyn Mercado.
“Sinasabi ko yun because eto ang natutunan ko kay Ronnie Lazaro. Minsan nag-usap kami about anything. Tapos biglang lumabas sa bibig ko na ‘ako talaga hindi ko lang kaya ‘yung ganito eh.’ Then sabi nya, ‘’wag, lagi mong isipin kaya mo ’yan. Andun ’yung sarap n’yan eh. Andun ‘yung taste of life na hinahanap mo na akala mo hind mo kaya’,” Cruz added.
“That’s why sa ganyang issue na pagkakaroon ng anak kahit na in reality sinasabi kong hindi ko pa gusto or maaaring hindi ko pa kaya or hindi pa ako handa. Sino ba naman talaga ang makapagsasabi kung kelan ka ba talaga handa?” he asked.
Cruz also said that he is the marrying type.
Recently, the actor broke up with actress Angelica Panganiban. He was also in a relationship with Kaye Abad, Ciara Sotto, Krista Ranillo, Liz Uy, Ruffa Gutierrez, and Shaina Magdayao. Cruz was also linked to Carmen Soo and Sarah Geronimo.
Cruz recently attended the successful Malaysian premier of his current movie at the Federal Cinema in Kuala Lumpur.
Filipinos and Malaysians jampacked the two international screenings of the romantic-comedy film. After the screening, Cruz met some of his fans and took a selfie with them.
