The City Board of Canvassers proclaimed early this morning re-electionist Mark Villar as representative of the lone district of Las Piñas.
Villar was given a fresh mandate with an overwhelming vote of 174,533, or 86.5% of the total votes cast.
The Nacionalista Party legislator said the fresh mandate also invigorates him to start his third term by continuing his work for the passage of bills on education, livelihood and people empowerment.
Las Piñas has a total of 421 clustered precincts with 304,311 registered voters.
