Three persons, including a fireman, were injured while an estimated P300,000 in property was destroyed in a fire that hit a two-story residential and commercial building in Quezon City yesterday.
Fire Supt. Jesus Fernandez, Quezon City fire marshal, identified the victims as Fire Officer 1 Daniel Resonable and Michael Lim and Russel Tacob, employees of Tamagawa Metal Product and Bogart Enterprise on Matutum St., Barangay St. Peter owned by businessman Toh Chin Caa.
All the victims sustained burns in various parts of their bodies during the fire.
Fernandez said the fire started at about 12:56 p.m. on the ground floor of the building.
The fire that reached the third alarm was put out at 1:47 p.m.
Fernandez said they are now probing the cause of the fire. “Inaalam pa po namin ang dahilan ng sunog kanina,” Fernandez said.
