Police have identified the maintainer of the shabu laboratory in Angeles City that yielded some P1.1-billion worth of liquid shabu and released the cartographic sketch to speed up the hunt against him.
Senior Supt. Leonardo Suan, chief of staff of the Philippine National Police-Anti-Illegal Drugs Group, identified the suspect as Shiji Jun, alias “Michael.”
Suan said they were able to get the name and picture of the suspect through their counterpart in Taiwan. He said the owner of the house that Michael rented also provided details of his appearance.
Based on investigation, Suan said Michael rented the house from July 2015 to July 2016 for P25,000 per month. Chang, however, failed to pay the two months of lease since April.
Suan believed that some people were in the laboratory before the raid as indicated by the open airconditioner and a cellular phone being charged. (Aaron B. Recuenco)
