A gay man was allegedly killed by his live-in partner inside a condominium in Pasay City yesterday.
Police identified the victim as Robert William del Rosario, also known as John Leo Tababa, 23.
Senior Supt. Joel Doria, Pasay police chief, said Noli Manlolo, officer in charge of the condominium, was roving on the 11th floor at around 4 a.m. yesterday when he noticed that the door of the victim’s unit was slightly opened.
Manlolo called if anybody was inside but nobody answered. He entered and saw the unit had blood splatters and stains.
He reported the incident to the management of the condominium and the police.
A closed-circuit television footage showed that the suspect, Jayson Santos Lee, and Del Rosario entered the condominium at around 9:28 p.m. on June 3.
At around 10:58 p.m., they went out of their unit but returned at about 11:40 p.m. Almost an hour later, Lee was seen dragging a luggage out of the unit.
The suspect placed the luggage in a cart and left. Hours earlier, the victim’s body was found stuffed inside the luggage and dumped 30 kilometers away in Cavite City.
Doria said that Lee was arrested after he returned to the condo at around 1:15 p.m.
Police are now conducting a follow-up investigation. (MARTIN A. SADONGDONG)
