Games Tuesday
JCSGO Gym, Cubao
2 p.m. Racal Tile vs AMA Online Education
4 p.m. Phoenix vs Tanduay
New conferences truly reinvigorates one’s title aspirations, and for Tanduay coach Lawrence Chongson, his squad’s 72-66 win over AMA last Thursday shows the Rhum Masters’ potential to strike it big this time out.
But ushering in that era would be no easy feat, as Phoenix stands in Tanduay’s way when the two teams clash on Tuesday in the 2016 PBA D-League Foundation Cup at JCSGO Gym in Cubao.
Erecting an early 20-point lead in that first outing, the Rhum Masters just barely held off the Titans to eke out the victory. And that is definitely a cause of concern for Chongson as he prepares his wards against the challenge of the newly crowned Aspirants’ Cup champions Accelerators.
“Hindi naman AMA lagi ang kalaban namin. Kung yung nilaro namin sa fourth quarter ang ilalaro namin, matatalo kami.
Pero kung yung first three quarters ang lalabas sa Tuesday, we may be able to give Phoenix a good fight,” he said.
Rudy Lingganay, Val Acuna, and Jaypee Belencion are expected to carry the fight for Tanduay.
Phoenix, meanwhile, will still be bannered by Mac Belo, Mike Tolomia, and Ed Daquioag as it makes its debut at 4 p.m.
