NORA AT ABS-CBN: Frequent sightings of Nora Aunor on the kapamilya channel have been raising hopes about the possibility of the superstar’s landing more meaty projects under the network.
In early May, Nora headlined Maalala-ala Mo Kaya’s Mother Day presentation. Last May 29, she guested on ASAP in celebration of MMK’s 25th anniversary.
Heard that an interesting conversation happened on the ASAP stage between Nora and ABS-CBN chief content officer Charo Santos-Concio, the details of which aren’t known. Rest assured, a source tells me, that the signs are positive.

MISSING SHOWBIZ: Like most Pinoy artists who move to other parts of the world and pursue other interests, Lirio misses show business.
How happy she was that her visit was made more special by guesting on Darius Razon’s fund-raising show at the Music Museum last weekend. The show served as a reunion of ‘young stars from the 70s’. Lirio reunited with her friends from that era, Perla Adea, Romy Mallari, Cynthia Garcia, Adrian Panganiban, and former radio host Tessie Lagman.
‘We had such great fun, and so did those who came to watch us,’ Lirio says.
While her son Chris is about to launch his own music career in the PH, Lirio has asked her husband’s permission to resume her interrupted career. She and Chris intend to divide their time between Texas and Manila.
While here, she says she’d like to sing again and act again like she used to. Lirio is a mean singer and a good drama actress as well. “Pero, parang gusto kong mag-comedy ngayon,’ she said. (NESTOR CUARTERO)
