HAPPY Birthday (HBD) Girl Patricia Tumulak of “Eat Bulaga” debuts as an actress in a light comedy-drama series called “Calle Siete” which will premiere on Monday, June 13, before the popular noontime program.
“Calle Siete” replaces “Princess in the Palace.” Aside from Tumulak, other stars of the new show include Eula Valdez, Christian Bautista, Gloria Sevilla, and Ryzza Mae Dizon.
“Medyo hindi pa nagsi-sink in lahat. S’yempre dahil wala pang workshop pero ang role ko rito is natural lang,” said Tumulak who plays Patring, in the new TV series.
“Ang role ko rito is fitness instructor, promoting a healthy lifestyle and then kikay,” she said, during an interview on “24 Oras” news program on GMA 7.
Tumulak has a regular portion on “Eat Bulaga” in which she greets fans of the longest-running noontime show on their birthday.
Men’s magazine
Tumulak, 28, also rejected offers to pose for men’s magazines, saying she is a schoolteacher.
“Never ko ia-accept ’yun kasi pre-school teacher ako. My five-year plan is to put up a school. If ever um-exit man ako rito, ang push ko pagtuturo,” she said.
Tumulak also said that she is able to practice teaching with Ryzza Mae and Baste as her students.
“Ako ’yung tutor nila Ryzza and Baste in between breaks sa ‘Eat Bulaga.’ Kaya ang tawag nila sa akin ay teacher Pat.
At least nae-execute ko pa rin ’yung pagtuturo ko sa dalawang bata nga lang,” she added.
Tumulak is a former beauty queen and commercial model. In 2009, she won Miss Philippines Fire (3rd runner-up) at the Miss Philippines Earth beauty pageant.
In 2011, Tumulak competed in Binibining Pilipinas and finished in the Top 15.
In 2014, she competed at the Miss Multiverse International contest in the Dominican Republic.
Tumulak is an alumna of Miriam College in Quezon City where she graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Child Development and Education Minor in Special Education.
