ROSARIO, Cavite – The downpour on Sunday afternoon did not stop the LGBT (lesbian-gay-bisexual-transgender) group from pursuing the so-called “Independence Gay” rites in this municipality.
The LGBTs went on with their self-styled “Independence Gay” street parade, displaying costumes and wares, amid the drizzle during the Freedom Day afternoon.
The parade was organized by the municipality’s so-called “Ikatlong Lahi” (Third Race) as their contribution for the Independence Day celebration.
Cavite province is known as cradle of revolution and birthplace of Philippines’ independence.
The LGBT event went on with the Independence Day national theme “Kalayaan 2016: Pagkakaisa, Pag-aambagan at Pagsulong” (Freedom Day 2016: Unity, Sharing and Moving Onward). (Anthony Giron)
