BUTUAN CITY – Police operatives seized Thursday some 53 kilos of marijuana stalks worth P6 million in Loreto town, Agusan del Sur,
MiiElements of Loreto Municipal Police Station (MPS) in Loreto town, Agusan del Sur on Thursday seized eight big sacks containing 53 kilograms marijuana stalks with a dangerous drug board value of P6 million pesos.
Reports reaching the Northeastern Mindanao Police Regional Office 13 (PRO 13) based at Camp Rafael C. Rodriguez showed that the big haul of marijuana stalks placed in eight sacks was found abandoned on the road of Barangay Waloe.
Members of Loreto Municipal Police Station recovered the hemps at about 11:30 a.m. after receiving information about the delivery of the illegal drug in the said barangay.
As of yesterday afternoon, police are still conducting follow-up investigation to determine the owner of the seized marijuana.
The recovered marijuana stalks were brought to Loreto police station and will be turned over to the 13th Regional Crime Laboratory Office here for further test. (MIKE U. CRISMUNDO)
